With its light-up capability, the Yomega Lightbeam Yo-Yo is designed with entertainment in mind. This high-performance yo-yo features a high-speed ball bearing design that allows for long spins and a transaxle system for manual returns. It also has eight LEDs on the side caps that light up at the touch of your hand and with movement. An ideal yo-yo for users with intermediate skill levels, the Lightbeam comes with an instructional Yomega Mania DVD with 150 tricks.
High-Speed Ball Bearing Design for Long Spins
The Lightbeam Yo-Yo uses a high-speed ball bearing design and transaxle system that's great for performing advanced tricks. The metal roller bearing produces low friction between the string and the axle, enabling long spins. Additionally, the transaxle system allows the yo-yo to spin while remaining at the end of its uncoiled string, otherwise known as sleeping. This technique is ideal for intermediate and advanced users who wish to perform tricks such as the "brain twister" or "splitting the atom."
Touch-Sensitive LEDs Light Up During Play
Eight LEDs located within the colorful, translucent side caps add to the fun. The colored LEDs light up at the slightest touch and when the yo-yo is thrown, producing a vivid lightshow that spectators can enjoy. The yo-yo requires two 1.5-volt AG3 batteries (included) that are easy to replace by unscrewing the protective covers.
Lubrication Pen and Extra String for Maintenance
Properly maintaining your yo-yo is easy thanks to the included Brain Lube lubrication pen. This mineral-oil-with-Teflon lubricant coats the bearings with just one drop, alleviating high-pitched squealing noises during play. It also helps with the yo-yo's return. An extra pack of string is included for convenience.
Yomega Mania Instructional DVD Teaches You Tricks
Aspiring yo-yo performers and advanced users will appreciate the included Yomega Mania DVD that serves as an instructional guide. Hosted by Yomega's resident yo-yo expert Ooch, this comprehensive DVD includes a boot camp section for beginners with basic information on Yomega yo-yos, set up, and maintenance.
For more advanced users, the DVD showcases 150 tricks that are demonstrated in various speeds and angles. Users can also choose between the different narrative options to best suit their skill level and learning style.
